DLAI to Nepal India Buddhist Shrine Visit

       From 20th April to 1st May 2014, DLAI team went to Nepal and India for 10 days visit learning tour,which was guided by Master Hengying who is the Great Kungfu Master in China and the Abbot of  Songshan Holy Bamboo Forest Monastery.

 

 

      The journey followed the Buddha's birth, enlightenment and Nirvana footprints throughout the Kathmandu capital of Nepal, Lumbini the birthplace of Lord Buddha, the Indian Capital New Delhi, Grdhrakuta Rajagrha, Nalanda Buddhism University where Master Xuanzang studied that was the Buddhism  center during the Gupta Dynasty, and the Bodh Gaya---the holy Land where Buddha attained Enlightenment.

We were sincerely arranged to meet with Trangu Rinpoche who is the 9th khenchen karma lodro riglug mawai singay and the Abbot of Trangu Yangtse Monastery in Namo Buddha(the Lord Buddha rescued the starving mother tiger by feeding it his own body.), Sampati, Kavre Palangchok District,Kathmandu, Nepal. 

  

 

     We visit 95-year-old respected Buddhist historian, the Chancellor Satya Mohan Joshi of Nepal Basha Academy, who is the friendship messenger between China and Nepal. We discussed the planning of Mahamaya Monastery.

     With the assistance of Abbot Wat Jakkawad Rachawas of Thai Sirirajgir Temple in Rajigir Nalanda BiharIndia, Master Henying greeted bamboo roots from Venu Van.  Due to the changes of diplomatic relationsbetween China and India, Master Wat Jakkawad Rachawas was commissioned by Chinese Indian to take care of the Chinese Temple in Sarnath where the Buddha had his first sermon for 25 years .

   

 

    The ten-day trip visited Nepal and India's important Buddhist holy places, raising DLAI team’s understanding of Buddhist history and Buddhist architecture.
